Abstract: The land is the ecosystem carrier. Land use changes affect the ecosystem structures and functions, and cause the changes of ecosystem service values. The paper analyzes the changes of land use and ecosystem service values from 1993 to 2000 in Hebei Province. Results show that the cultivated land, water area, swamp and unused land are decreased, but fruit land, woodland, grassland and building land are increased. Ecosystem service values are remarkably decreased in Hebei Province in the period of 1993～2000. Ecosystem service values are decreased from 15.73116 billion US dollars in 1993 to 15.23503 billion US dollars in 2000. The decreasing rate of ecosystem service value is 3.15%.
